Job description
Independent financial advisory and asset management firm. Operating in 27 countries.
Looking to hire a finance professional to fill the position of Financial Accountant at our London Financial Advisory office. The successful candidate will report to the Financial Accountant (VP).
The role's responsibilities include:
- Preparation of the annual statutory financial statements
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Accounting, disclosure, and reconciliation of the defined benefit pension schemes
- Accounting of key non-compensation accruals and expenses
- Participate in Budgeting and Forecasting
- Accounting and reconciliation of Intercompany recharges and transactions
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for internal and external reporting purposes
- Ad hoc requests and project work when required
Key Skills:
- 0-2 years+ post qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with strong analytical skills
- PC literate with extensive familiarity of Microsoft Excel, Word
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - articulate and confident, including ability to effectively liaise with various senior stakeholders within the business
- Ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Accuracy and a high attention to detail
- A high level of self-motivation, autonomy, and initiative
- Ability to maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct
Desirable Key Skills:
- Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102) and US GAAP
- Experienced in preparation of financial statements and statutory reporting
- Experience using IRIS accounts production software or similar
- Experience of multi-currency accounting and consolidations
- Experience of the SAP general ledger system and Analysis for Office
