Job Description

The Consultancy Group are currently partnered with a global media and technology client in their search for a Group Accountant on a 9-month FTC. This role is initially a maternity cover, however the business will look to offer the successful candidate a permanent position within the organisation at the conclusion of the contract. Your role will focus on group consolidations, deivering group financial reports, improving controls and helping to manage the audit.

Role Responsibilities (within Group Finance function)

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with IFRS and group statutory requirements
  • Support the development of appropriate internal controls to ensure conformance and compliance with policies
  • Support Business Line Companies to establish and enhance their internal control and to deliver accounting due diligence
  • Ensure timely delivery of supporting information for internal and external audits
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and proactively follow up any outstanding issues
  • Proactively support FX position reporting to Treasury team
  • Proactively manage intercompany/group reconciliations
  • Provide guidance and support to business departments and regional corporate departments

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountancy qualification (ACA preferred)
  • Good Standard of Education (University Degree or equivalent)

  • MS Office with advanced excel skills (pivot tables, v look-ups, sumifs and formulas)
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
