Interim Management Accountant

Job description

A well known Media business are recruiting for a Interim Management Accountant for a short assignment.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities for the role include the following -

· Responsible for the monthly reporting of relevant departments including the

preparation of accrual and prepayment journal entries, developing in depth

knowledge of these areas so as to be able to explain variances to

budget/forecast.

· Provide ongoing subscriptions-related finance support: assisting on projects, reporting payment failures and

ensuring completeness of data captured for accounting purposes.

· Allocate invoices correctly, liaising with external suppliers and customers

where necessary

· Contribution to the monthly preparation of the board report

Manage Intercompany transactions to ensure all balances are matched and invoiced in line with the month-end deadlines. Ensure recharges are posted and reconciled in the respective ledgers

· Involvement in the preparation of annual budgets/forecasts, which involves liaising with department heads

· Advise key stakeholders to ensure business and investment plans are accurately translated into budgets / forecasts to ensure operational integrity from a P&L perspective

· Contribute to the development and maintenance of reports for areas of responsibility

· Develop a good understanding of key performance indicators used by the business, responding to requests for management information

· Liaise with the auditors; answering queries and providing documentation

· Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations · Support the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and provide data required for US sales tax filings
