Portfolio PMO Lead
Job description
The Consultancy Group is currently supporting a global Media business scale up their Transformation programmes across Finance, Technology, HR, Procurement and Data. The global Project Portfolio Director is looking for a Portfolio PMO Lead, on a 9 month Contract Outside IR35, to be responsible for Planning of the Strategic Business Transformation portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support in implementing reporting within the portfolio - status updates, challenge project / programme managers where progression does not seem to be made
Prepare project and programme status reports: RAID logs and programme / project dashboards, milestones, tracking and analysis of actuals vs forecast across the full project portfolio.
Provide document controls - including project documentation storage, version control and deliverable review to assure adherence to project delivery lifecycle methodology and minimum standards.
Creation of minutes and MI tailored to the target audience. Track actions to completion, providing MI on progress.
Advise and escalate issues / general concerns about portfolio performance to the portfolio manager.
Co-ordinate project and programme planning with the Programme / Project Managers - including critical path planning, milestones, detailed financial tracking of actual spend vs forecast for the programme / projects
Ensure projects are tracked appropriately, including resources and all financials
Oversee key project documentation and ensure timely refresh of Stakeholder and Governance Plan, Delivery Control management, resource and budget tracking.
Support the Project Managers in maintaining accurate resource and finance forecasts.
Provide regular financial and resourcing updates to portfolio stakeholders
Track benefits from projects, programmes and the portfolio as a whole and hold sponsors and users accountable for reporting the delivery of these benefits on time.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous Portfolio PMO experience required
Previous experience implementing Project Management framework
Experience managing project baselines - scope, plan, budget
Prince 2 Desirable
