Job Description

Key Responsibilities


  • Accounts payable
  • Invoice approvals and payments
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Managing expenses payment
  • Paying and recording supplier invoices


  • Bank reconciliations
  • Ordering new cards
  • Opening and closing accounts
  • Managing direct debits and standing orders
  • Completing mandate forms
  • Transfer instructions
  • Dealing with queries

Documentation, reporting and analyzing

  • Reporting of financial transactions
  • Maintaining a monthly ledger
  • Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Reporting on historical financial data
  • Responsible for producing annual operating budget
  • Cash-flow forecasting
  • Reviewing and forecasting operating costs
  • Creating analysis templates and individual reports


  • Responsible for recording and payment of payroll and payment of HMRC taxes.
  • Responsible for 'auto enrolment'.
  • Monitoring overtime.


  • Use Sage and Excel

General admin

  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
  • Providing administrative and clerical support as designated by management

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 years' experience in a finance function which requires monitoring budget, spend, supplier payments and payroll
  • Experience of handling confidential data
  • AAT bookkeeping or similar qualifications required
  • Proven success in a high-volume work and shifting priority environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe and Sage
  • Experience of working in an environment where written and numerical reports are expected on a daily and weekly basis
  • An interest in time efficient apps and the latest technology to make office systems efficient

Preferable Qualifications and Experience

  • Part ACCA or CIMA qualified
