Job Description

An incredible opportunity to work for a PE backed media business with rapid expansion plans.

This is a newly created role due to growth and will report into the FC. Your role will include managing a small team, involvement in the implementation of their new CRM system and growing and developing the team.

This role will onboard remotely and work from home until restrictions are reviewed. There will be flexibility to work from home 2 days a week in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review orders across the CRM system (newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics) and invoice in accordance with client contracts
* Perform monthly reconciliation between CRM system and finance system
* Responsibility for the collection of receivables
* Collecting outstanding invoices by telephone and email in various countries
* Dispatching Dunning Letters where required
* Dispatching Statements on a monthly basis
* Research and set up a new credit card merchant facility
* Taking credit card payments via online portal
* Setting up Direct Debits and Negotiating Payment Plans
* Running overdue invoices report on a weekly basis and reporting to Group FC
* Chasing cancellation invoices and escalating to third party for collections
* Ensuring accounts are placed 'on stop' in CRM/Sage if there are issues
* Review and clear unallocated cash on a monthly basis
* Continual review of Finance / CRM AR processes and recommendations and implementation of improvements
* Maximise collections by achieving cash target
* Minimise aged debt, bad debt and DSO
* Weekly and monthly detailed receivables reporting
* Preparing excel reports for board pack
* Preparing PowerPoint deck for board pack
* Assessing credit risk of new clients
* Managing direct report - credit controller

Skills Required:

  • 7+ years credit control / accounts receivable experience
  • Experience within the media industry desirable
  • Experience with Sage preferable
  • Strong excel skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a positive, resilient and personable character with the ability to build rapport quickly
