A fantastic opportunity now available to work for one of the world's leading FMCG companies at a time of great success and growth. We are entering the market seeking an experienced Commercial Planning Project Manager to work with the UK Leadership team across the company to strengthen the organisations commercial position in the UK. You will serve as a critical liaison between UK based commercial functions, EMEA and headquarters in the US. The role will involve adapting, planning and coordinating commercial strategies and implementation plans for the local market and leading cross-functional teams at HQ to deliver on local market priorities. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing data resources, partnerships, and commercial reporting. Projects to include new product launches, marketing/trade marketing campaigns, sales cycles, promotional calendar, amongst others. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in a combination of management consulting and cross-functional corporate roles as defined below. In this role you'll be wearing different hats, so you should be comfortable jumping in and out of projects both strategic and operational.

Key Responsibilities Include;

  • Perform commercial business planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver solutions that drive profitable sales growth
  • Drive the Commercial team's efforts supporting customer promotions, product launches, brand campaigns, new channel strategy / business development, and trade marketing and sales operations execution
  • Define implementation priorities, develop execution plans, and manage cross-functional pull-through. Manage external and internal customer relationships, influencing strategy and execution
  • Structure strategic plans and analyse business problems, including assessments of risks, benefits, and operational agility. Counsel executives on insights to ensure organizational alignment
  • Serve as the critical liaison between UK based commercial functions, EMEA commercial and USA commercial teams enabling delivery of cross-functional projects in the UK

Essential Skills;

  • Experience in a combination of management consulting and corporate roles
  • Experience in the FMCG, tech, pharmaceutical preferred
  • Proven history of project leadership and positive results in a highly cross-functional, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Bonus: functional understanding spanning sales, product-brand, trade marketing, sales operations, supply chain, finance, and regulatory / legal
  • Self-starter with ability to focus on tactical execution to get the job done
  • Consultative mindset, with the ability to influence without direct authority, and to develop strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail while delivering against tight deadlines
