Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing a global Finance team of reporting for UK and US.

This role requires an enthusiastic and driven individual who enjoys making an impact! You will ownership of all accounting requirements, reporting, processes and controls, along with management and iteration of the monthly close process.

Your role;

  • Oversee the operations of the Finance team, including the organisational structure that effectively supports the company
  • Oversee the accounting operations of both the UK and US entities, financial closes, control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
  • Develop and coach the team in the UK and US
  • Manage relationship with outsourced functions including tax advisers and payroll services
  • Oversee management of group cash flow
  • Ensure publication of timely Management Accounts Pack to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the preparation of the UK-filed group financial statements
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Work closely with FP&A teams
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit

Key Skills;

  • Extensive experience working at Finance Manager level and above with strong leadership capabilities and deep business acumen a must
  • US financial experience
  • Experience in a fast moving global e-commerce environment
  • Proven track record of developing, coaching and managing teams, ideally with remote management experience
  • Strong business Partner
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively work with discretion and sensitivity
  • Highly organised, flexible team player with excellent prioritisation skills
  • Experience with NetSuite
