Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Manager to join a busy, friendly team in an international media organisation based in central London. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely capture & payment of all UK & international invoices.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the accounts payable team of 8
  • Ensuring that all UK & overseas invoices are entered accurately and in-line with deadlines
  • Ensuring that all overseas stock invoices are checked & accurately entered and that all relevant import documentation is received
  • Liaising with the business to ensure timely approval of invoices & efficient payment of suppliers taking into consideration terms.
  • Overseeing the timely reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Preparing & review of unapproved invoices and aged creditors reports
  • Overseeing the process for efficient investigation and resolution of invoice queries
  • Documenting & review all Accounts Payable processes to ensure that the team remains efficient as the company grows
  • Developing & reporting accounts payable team KPIs
  • Overseeing, mentoring & developing the team; including managing day-to-day activities & workload, assessing performance & conducting performance reviews
  • Supporting the team to meet performance targets, including acting as an additional resource if required
  • Overseeing the implementation of a new purchase invoice system and expense process
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

We would love to meet someone with

  • 4 years plus AP experience processing high volumes of invoices per day
  • Experience in managing teams with strong communication and supervisory skills
  • Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail, performing all work with high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent numeracy and Excel skills
  • Personable and approachable
