Finance Analyst

Working closely with the UK operational teams and under the guidance of the Head of Finance The Consultancy Group are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to provide day to day support for the UK finance function for our client.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

Job Outline:

  • Recording, analysis and management of financial information
  • Month end reporting
  • Ensuring revenue and costs are reported in appropriate manner and subsequent analysis is performed on monthly basis
  • Regular review of balance sheet accounts, accruals, prepayments and providing guidance on key issues and resolution to problem items
  • Measuring Key KPI's
  • Supporting the Internal Board on ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Managing primary relationships with Directors and budget holders, Internal and External Audit and other divisions
  • Establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Intercompany reconciliations
    Weekly debtor/cashflow reviews & chasing
    Review and reconcile monthly control accounts
    Provide support to the Global Sales and Services teams with deal terms and structures that ensure revenue recognition objectives are met and in alignment with overall company revenue plans.
  • Periodically review Global vendor relationships and structures to ensure they are providing value as expected while minimizing costs
  • Identifying and resolving issues before they occur whilst adding value to the business in both financial and non-financial matters

Desirable Experience:

  • Media sector experience desirable
  • You must be very commercially minded together with some financial modelling skills
  • Highly organized, working under pressure and across different time zones
  • Ability to work and engage cross-functionally and remotely - excellent communication skills both written and verbal and great interpersonal skills both over the phone and face to face
  • A strong team player who thrives under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills, together with the ability to be flexible, adaptable and resourceful
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and to use own initiative in all situations
  • Strong Excel skills!
