A well-known travel company are looking for an experienced Revenue Projects Specialist to assist on a post-systems implementation project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of issues from data analysis to commercial understanding to correcting accounting where applicable and providing clear requirements to IT for system resolutions
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of revenue transactions
- Identifying and analysing issues
- Developing workarounds and the requirements to IT to fix issues
- Identify and implement temporary, manual workarounds in lieu of the required IT fixes being delivered
- Support the delivery of all revenue related sections of pre-year end and year-end audits
- define problems and their resolution and present these in a manner which can be understood by a broad range of Finance and IT stakeholders
Key Skills Required:
The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of:
- Revenue accounting expertise
- High volume revenue transactions captured through an online platform
- Working with high volumes of transactional data
- Related revenue systems understanding, preferably in the travel industry.
- Works confidently with auditors and manages issues to resolution
- Flexes working style effectively for different stakeholders with varied personalities and technical backgrounds across IT, Finance and the wider business
- Highly numerate, logical thinker with problem-solving attitude, drive and enthusiasm
- Calm, structured and organised
