Key Responsibilities
- Project and investment prioritisation by ensuring all projects are challenged and have a sufficient business case that is financially viable whilst providing ongoing finance support to project teams
- Provide cohesive analytical support on ad hoc analyses that drive strategic and operational decisions
- Provide financial insight as we develop our long-term distribution strategies required to support the growth of the business
- Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise operations and minimise risk/cost to the business
- Evaluate and report actual versus planned outcomes of key Distribution initiatives
- Continue to develop an ROI focussed culture
- Continue to improve Distribution capital management/reporting and streamline capital approval process
- Facilitate the budgeting / forecasting and long-range planning process for the Distribution Finance team
- Be an independent, credible and challenging finance partner to support the delivery of business goals
- Manage the Distribution finance team, providing support for their development and exposure to multi-functions across the business
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Accounting qualification, MBA, or similar commercial finance analysis experience with significant PQE experience
- Strong business modelling skills
- A proven track record of delivering results to deadlines
- Previous experience of developing and managing people/teams
- High level of initiative, curiosity and drive
- A flexible attitude and forward thinking, combined with an analytical approach to problem solving and acute commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills across all levels are essential and must have well developed influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
- Experience within a consumer facing business (Retail/FMCG) desirable
- Experience in distribution and logistics will be desirable
- European language skills advantageous
