Job Description

An instantly recognisable Consumer Group are hiring a Senior Vice President - Global Tax, to lead the Groups Tax affairs globally.

 

Reporting to the Group CFO, the SVP - Global Tax will play a key role within the senior finance leadership team, anticipating and evaluating the financial impact of decisions and find the right way forward. You will have substantial interaction with other department leads in the organisation, including Accounting, FP&A, and Legal as well as the global tax organisation overseas.

 

About You

 

You have experience maintaining a high performing team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development.
You have forecasted annual effective tax rate and cash tax obligations.
You will provide global and regional finance leaders accurate assessments of the Company's current and future tax positions.
You will Identify tax planning opportunities including determination of related tax consequences and overseeing the strategic timing of realising deferred items.
You will manage relationship with the external tax audit team for interim and year-end financial closes including ability to discuss issues with technical expertise.
You will oversee the preparation, review and timely and accurate submission of all indirect taxes such as sales/use tax, property tax, VAT/GST; including the compliance process and accounting impact.
You will lead the team with development and implementation of transfer pricing policies and practices; Defend of TP policies through audits by tax authorities.
You have a high comfort level addressing the tax aspects of M&A, divestitures and joint venture activity, including acquisition due diligence, integration/restructuring, post-acquisition work and deductibility of acquisition costs.
You have 15+ years of corporate tax experience with at least 5 years of managing a tax function.
You are a strong leader with proven track record of building high-performance teams.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
